Mission
We support daily practices — small, consistent, evidence-informed rituals — that improve mental wellbeing and strengthen community connection. We advocate for public spaces and civic programs that make such practices accessible to everyone regardless of income or geography.
How we operate
Connection For Better Living is a volunteer-run organization based in Erie, Pennsylvania. We publish a weekly ritual newsletter, distribute printed leaflets to community locations in Erie County, correspond with individuals seeking guidance, and participate in local advocacy for wellness-supportive policy.
Because we operate on a small scale, our overhead is minimal and our operating costs are covered by modest annual contributions and a handful of local foundation grants. Contributions to Connection For Better Living, Inc. are tax-deductible under IRS §170.
History
Connection For Better Living was incorporated as a Pennsylvania nonprofit corporation and received determination of 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service. Our current program, Rituals For Better Living, is the continuation of a community wellness initiative first organized informally by a small group of Erie-area residents and formalized under our nonprofit charter.
Governance and compliance
We file the required annual return (Form 990-N electronic notice) with the Internal Revenue Service and maintain our registration in good standing with the Pennsylvania Bureau of Corporations and Charitable Organizations.
